The EMRA signals were designed and built for Centralized Traffic Control (CTC) operation using a dispatcher. When we are not using a dispatcher we want to have the signals operate in a prototypical automatic fashion. The Monashee Pacific would probably have used a signal control scheme called [Absolute Permissive Block (APB)] to achieve this. Since CTC signal configuration is different than that used on APB, we need to use a modified version. This version uses a 'Headblock' which we have with our CTC OS sections (called a Control Point (CP) on some railroads).
All of our signals were handbuilt by a member with the exception of the semaphores.
It is planned to use semaphores for the signals at Ondic (Van Horne Jct. on above map) as well as train order signals at towns with train order stations.
