Provide an interface between the computer, layout (turnouts, signals and block detection), local switch panels and the 'Dispatchers Panel'.
The EMRA is currently installing TC-64 I/O controllers produced by RR-CirKits. Approximately 15 of these I/O boards will be installed in the various electrical vaults underneath the layout. Each TC-64 has 8 ports into which sensors, detectors or contacts will provide inputs and outputs will be sent to signals, turnouts or the Dispatchers panel. The Dispatchers panel will use an additional 3 to 5 TC-64s.
